Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using oak-finch services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

Services Provided

oak-finch provides culinary education programs, workshops, and mentorship services. Our programs are delivered through online platforms, live sessions, and resource materials.

Enrollment and Payment

Program Enrollment

When you enroll in a program, you enter into a binding agreement to participate and pay the specified fee. Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of payment or payment authorization.

Pricing

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to modify pricing for future enrollments but will honor the price you paid at enrollment.

Payment Terms

Payment is due in full at enrollment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in writing. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers through our secure payment processors.

Refund Policy

Full refunds are available within 7 days of enrollment if you have not accessed course materials or attended any sessions. After this period, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. No refunds are provided after 50% program completion.

User Obligations

You agree to:

Provide accurate enrollment information
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
Not share program materials with non-enrolled individuals
Participate respectfully in community forums and sessions
Not record or redistribute live sessions without permission
Use program content for personal educational purposes only

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All course materials, videos, guides, recipes, and resources provided through our programs are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of oak-finch. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to access and use these materials for personal educational purposes.

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Reproduce or distribute program materials commercially
Modify or create derivative works from our content
Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Use our content to teach competing programs
Reverse engineer or extract teaching methodologies for commercial use

Your Content

Content you submit through forums, Q&A sessions, or feedback remains your property. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for improving our programs and marketing purposes (testimonials require separate consent).

Program Delivery and Changes

Schedule Changes

We reserve the right to modify session schedules with reasonable notice. Material changes will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance when possible.

Instructor Changes

We may substitute instructors when necessary while maintaining program quality and standards.

Program Modifications

Curriculum content may be updated or improved during your enrollment. These changes are made to enhance quality and reflect current best practices.

Cancellation by oak-finch

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone programs due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future cohort.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Educational Nature

Our programs are educational in nature. Results vary based on individual effort, prior experience, and application of taught principles. We make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes or skill levels achieved.

No Warranties

Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to online platforms or materials.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, oak-finch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific program in question.

Kitchen Safety

You are responsible for maintaining safe practices in your own kitchen. We are not liable for injuries, property damage, or other incidents occurring during your practice of taught techniques.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use personal data as described in that policy and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Community Standards

We maintain a respectful, supportive learning environment. Prohibited behavior includes:

Harassment or abusive language toward instructors or other participants
Spam or commercial solicitation in community spaces
Sharing inappropriate or offensive content
Impersonating others or providing false information

We reserve the right to remove participants who violate community standards without refund.

Termination

By You

You may request to withdraw from a program subject to our refund policy. Access to materials will be revoked upon withdrawal.

By Us

We may terminate your access to programs if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or fail to make required payments.

Governing Law and Disputes

Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Melbourne, Victoria.
